A Little About Us Welcome to the McNiece family website. The McNieces have been married for over 30 years and for 15 years ran the Christian Community Living Center in Lynnwood. The CCLC was a community home opened to those in need of emergency housing. People stayed for anywhere from weeks to years. Over time the house specialty became single moms and woman in stressed marriages, though there were single dads and whole families who joined the CCLC Family over the years. As time went by it became evident that some level of counseling training would be beneficial to help meet the needs of the residents. In the late 1990's, Andrew & Beckie attended the Basic Prayer Counseling Training course offered by Elijah House. Afterward they had an opportunity to teacher assist in a second basic school, and after that concluded they maintained a full counseling schedule for the next year. Since then they have provided lay-counseling services on an as needed basis for those referred by word of mouth. Other involvements include Andrew and Becks joint development of curriculum and leading the Sunday morning Junior High School program at Lynnwood Neighborhood Church for 10 years; Beck's involvement in Children's Ministry, Administrative and Office Support, Intercessory Prayer and the development of E-Pray email prayer chain ministries at Family Life Center and Living Hope over 15 and 6 years respectively. From 2004-2007, Beck and Andrew oversaw Power Alley, a home fellowship group that stressed Fellowship, Worship, The Word, Prayer and Outreach. Over the years, Andrew has participated in four Worship Teams in various support roles, and occasionally leading worship. Andrew has also authored over 40 songs. Beck is currently a home health care provider for Companion Care. Andrew has a background in Law Enforcement and is currently the Security Supervisor at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue. Andrew is also a Ham Radio Operator at Technician's level with the call sign K7AXZ.

BREAKING NEWS: Annual Newsletter Published! If you haven't received your electronic copy of our annual newsletter, click on the link above for a copy! New Directions! On and off for the past few years we have talked about a second community house and with those talks have come largely nothing. Gears have now changed though with our pre-qualification for a home mortgage. As it stands, we are working with Windermere Agent Jennifer Kuhlman and have actively initiated the search for a home in the South Snomohish county area with community potential. This will not be a rushed search... we are comfortable where we are and are not under any pressure to change our circumstance. Consequently we can take our time and wait for exactly what we are looking for. Stay tuned as developments unfold! Serving In The Corporate World Over this last year dramatic changes have occurred in Andrew's work that have had a ripple effect in life outside the workplace. Historically he had "lived" in the church arena with work being the "necessary evil" that funded the important things of life. Now church activity and involvement is minimal and work has moved to the forefront. Developing educational tools and teaching has become a significant part of his work and life with both class room (corporate in-service type) and an experimental video teaching tool in the works. Additionally, the new task of corporate - city liaison has materialized and the responsibility of assuring smooth communications between the police department and the organization add even more to the already full plate. Oh yes... and the morale and efficient function of his primary department remains a top priority as well! And that not only means every day work, but regularly scheduled Off Shift rounding to assure each staff member gets management face time too! All that means more work, more stepping out into the unknown and uncomfortable and less church "at church". It also means walking out as best he can the mind and heart of Christ in a largely non-Christian environment. (That almost has a missionary tone to it)! Next fiscal year (beginning in July), things could dramatically change with either more corporate responsibility, or perhaps a lot less depending on how things play out. It simply depends on what the Lord brings about. We have no assumptions or specific plans... time will simply tell. Travel In 2012? We have no idea what will be possible in the upcoming year but we would like to go home (to California) at least twice. We would also like to touch bases with our partner in crime, Barb, in Tennessee and hit South Dakota with Andrew's sister. We will simply have to see... it will all come down to dollars and time. New Year Resolutions? No... none of those. If we can pay our bills and in somehow positively influence a life or two around us, that's a lofty enough goal! HIMZ Project I don't know how many times I've said "I'm done" with music... more than once for sure but for some reason I keep on finding new ways to embarrass myself with the medium! My latest project is titled "HIMZ" and will be a collection of old hymns that have been modernized. Two are in the hopper right now, remakes of Holy, Holy Holy and A Mighty Fortress. At least three more will round out the collection. The set should be complete in... well... that's a good question. Maybe in 2012, maybe not. As it stands, only one track is done (and you can hear it by clicking on the player above if you want). No promises on a time line on this one!

I've spent a good portion of my life waiting. Waiting until I knew enough, until I had enough experience, until someone gave me the right chance, until I had the right car, the right job, the right house, the right church... until I knew for sure or until I had enough faith. The point is, there's always something... there's always a reason I "can't today, but maybe will tomorrow". Gideon was in that place too when he encountered the angel who said, "The Lord is with you, might warrior". (Judges 6:12) Gideon's answer was "but, if, where, but now... nothing was right... the time wasn't right, the challenge wasn't right, his family wasn't right and his position wasn't right. None the less, God said through the angel, "Go in the strength you have..." (Judges 6:14) Over the last couple of years we have bantered about the idea of opening another community house. But we "couldn't"... we didn't have the resources... it was hopeless. Even the one thing that might have made a difference... a promotion, fell through! None the less, somehow we were able to qualify! But I'm not just talking about house deals. How many times do we "wish" we could serve in one way or another... how many times do we tell ourselves, "Some day when I'm old enough, wise enough, knowledgeable enough or righteous enough, I'll step out and serve the Lord". The fact is, God isn't going to bring us our "someday" until we are faithful with the "today" he's given us! He calls us TODAY, to go, in the strength we have!
